Good Bye 2011... HELLO 2012

2011 has been full of a few life changing events. First and most importantly, Miss Abigail Grace joined our family.

She is full of life, likes looking at the world, smiles all the time, loves bath time and enjoys playing on the mat Santa brought her. She rolls over from back to stomach and can also go the other way but not as much. Abby is also trying so hard to laugh but it sounds a little more like grunting then laughing, I can't wait until she has that uncontrollable baby laugh. She will be 4 months old on the 10th and is growing like a weed.

We decide that it would be best for me to stay home with Abby so I am now the COO of La Casa de Jevne. Since I'm staying home we moved to Yakima to be closer to Chris' job which elminated 1 hour off his commute each way!!! It's nice to have him home an extra 2+ hours a day especially since Abby seems to be a morning person. She's able to hang out with daddy for a few hours before he leaves so mommy can get a few more ZZZ's.

As I look forward to 2012 the things I want to focus on are: enjoying every moment of Abby (even during the night when she wakes up multiple times), to thank my husband everyday for all the things he does for us and to live a life my daughter would be proud of.

There is a Whole Lotta Change Going On

It has been a few months since I have updated my blog but I have a good excuse this time! Meet Miss Abigail Grace. She is amazing and a true blessing.

I am so in love with her it is unbelievable.

She was two months old yesterday and has already changed so much.

She smiles, coos and chatters often.

Her two month appointment is on Monday so I'm looking forward to seeing how much she has grown.

The next big change is that I resigned from my job so I can be a stay at home mom. I'm so lucky that we are able to make that happen and I look forward to spending my days loving on Abby!

We decided that since I will be staying home we would move to Yakima where Chris works. We listed our house and had a full price offer in two week at what point I went into panic mode since we hadn't even started house hunting. Thankfully God has been watching over us and we found an awesome house in West Valley that we placed an offer on.

We will find out tomorrow if our offer was excepted but it sounds promising. I already have a list of things that I want to do. Can't you see black shutters on the windows, I sure can? It has new paint and flooring inside which is so nice. I will try to let you know what I hear tomorrow, I'm so excited.

Baby Shower and Nursery

My sister and cousin hosted a fabulous baby shower for me in July. I had a wonderful time and received some amazing gifts.

The nursery is ready for Little Miss' arrival. She should be here in approximately 3 weeks! I can hardly wait.

The bonnet was my Grandma Snider's when she was a baby. Two of the three spoons were mine when I was a baby.

My aunt gave me this Creative Memory scrapbook frame and lots of pages to change out. This one says "She's Here".

The bird mobile I made using Martha Stewart's tutorial. I think it came out fabulous.

We also went to Clayson Farms Sale last weekend and here are a few of my finds.

I also was on a tarnished silver kick so picked up some different pieces.

Learning to Sew Again

I have finally done it!! I have figured out how to use my new Silhouette and sewing machine!!! They have been sitting in their boxes for months waiting to come out and play. I can see where the Silhouette will be a lot of fun. They have oodles and oodles of fonts, shapes, pictures etc. It will be nice to buy the pictures I want rather then buying a whole cartridge for a shape. I also got my sewing machine out and started to relearn how to sew. I think the last time I sewed was in high school when I was in Home Ec. class. It's going to take awhile to get the hang of it. These are two projects I completed. I made a few Valentine's hearts using the tutorial from Rachel Berry that I saw a long time ago.

I also made some bunnies but don't recall who's blog I saw them on.

I have lots of projects to finish before returning to work. Biggest and most important project is to finish the nursery so it complete and ready for Little Miss' arrival. Next project paint shelf and picture frames for shadow boxes.

Ever Changing List

My hope every summer is to finish my To Do List, this summer is no different. However, as I look at my list it seems to be growing not shrinking. Today, I had the carpets cleaned by The Carpet Butler. He did a fantastic job. Not sure if I can count that off my list since I didn't do it myself but it was something that need to be done before Little Miss' arrives. Saturday we are getting a bid for interior and exterior painting which desperately needs to be done. We (Chris and Chad moving, me supervising) will also be moving the nursery furniture into the nursery. I can't wait to see it in there, I'm getting so excited. So as I sit waiting for the carpets to dry I have been searching the internet for decor ideas. What did we do before we had the internet?!?! It is an amazing thing. I came across a cute idea for a mobile so it looks like I'll be heading to Craft Warehouse to buy supplies to make it.

This one is from Polly Want a Crafter Isn't that a great blog name. She linked Martha Stewarts video tutorial for this bird mobile. Here is Martha's version.

My mom is coming Tuesday to make the bedding so while she works on that I plan to work on the mobile. Maybe I will get a boost of energy and finish some other projects too. I laugh when I look at my list because it includes projects for Valentine's Day, Easter and Halloween. How weird will that be working on things in July for holidays that aren't for months?!?

A Few Things off the List

Well, I have accomplished a few things that were on the To Do List. As I was cleaning/organizing the craft closet I came across a package of cards that needed to be put together so I did those last night.

Then tonight I made 3 bed spring wreaths out of old rusty springs which have been sitting in the garage waiting for this day for a long time! I think this is my favortie one. I might have to take one of the other ones apart to make a couple more of these.

Not sure what I will be doing with all of them along with some other projects I have. Maybe I need to start on Etsy account?!?!

Another Item off my list and the first day of summer

I finally bit the bullet and ordered the crib I am in love with.

I actually found it on sale and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg to get it shipped. I just received an email that it is on its way. I can't wait for it to get here. I'm also patiently waiting for the fabric swatches that I ordered last week. I love the fabric I'm just hoping that I love the shades of color. Maybe it will be in the mail today. Sunday I spent baking a pie, cookies and muffins. They were a big hit at Chris' work so it looks like I will need to make treats more often for the group.

I will be making my first batch of peanut brittle later today or tomorrow for my dad. He loves peanut brittle and I was given an easy recipe. I'm loving my first official day of summer vacation. It started with sleeping in until 9 am...AHHHHHH! I think this might be a first since being pregnant because I usually am up at 4 or 5 to use the restroom and never get back to sleep knowing I have to get up but today I knew I had nothing to get up for so I went back to sleep. When I did get up I worked in the office/craft room (no pictures because it looks like a tornado went through it) I keep telling myself it gets worse before it gets better. I have my Silhouette out of the box and on the craft table, next it will be the sewing machine. Haven't decided if I'm going back in to work or taking a nap before Duke and Daisy go in for their annual appointment.

I went to Prosser and Sunnyside today looking for nursery furniture and I found two dressers for the nursery. I'm so excited that I actually found something that I had a picture of in my mind. Here is the dresser that we will use as a changing table.

And the matching high boy. (Sorry the picture isn't great but it was with my iPhone from the street looking in the store window).

I also started going through the office/craft room closet and boy do I have a busy summer ahead of me! I swear projects have been muliptling in there during the last year. I have several bins full of semi-completed projects, parts to start projects, etc. It might be a good thing because I'm guessing I won't be leaving the airconditioning often. I'm excited to bring home my desk from work. It will be going into the office to hold my Silhouette, sewing machine and Cricut. I will then be adding this beautiful bouquet to it.

It is all my grandmother's knitting needles. It will give me good inspiration to create. She always had her hands busy knitting or crocheting. Here is a picture of the last baby blanket she was working on. I'm going to frame part of it and hang it in the nursery.

Things are starting to fall into place. Next big thing order the crib.

Happy Summer

Well it has been 5 months since my last post and there have been a few changes. I'm 6 months pregnant!!! Our little girl will be here in September and we can not wait. This has been a long awaited miracle that we weren't sure we would ever get but we are here. Today was the last day of school with students, YAHOO! It has been a very crazy end of the school year. We are moving across town to the old elementary school while our building is gutted and remodeled. So it has been crazy with regular end of the year responsiblities in addition to packing, dumping, moving, more packing, labeling, etc. The only highlight is that being pregnant I have not had to move much. I have 5 more days of work to finish things up and then it is summer time. I'm headed out on a big mission tomorrow... finding nursery furniture. I'm usually very organized and have things planned however lately all I can seem to do is sleep plus I can't decide what look I want for the room. I keep going back and forth and now realize I just need to pick something and move on. I promise to post a baby bump when there is someone around to take one. Chris is away on a guy's weekend.

Goals for this summer... getting my sewing machine and Silhouette out of their boxes and actually use them! (not creating a long list in hopes that I'll get lots done unlike previous years of getting little done with a long list).

2011 IS OUR YEAR

Just found this draft today (6/17/11) so I added it with the date it was written.

We are two months into 2011 and so far it has been FANTASTIC. We have had lots to celebrate and be thankful for. We got to celebrate the Packers winning the Super Bowl, YAHOO!! We also spent a fabulous weekend in Vegas enjoying the sun, sights and shows. We also got to help my favorite nephew celebrate his 3rd birthday. He is such a sweet, smart boy. He can count in English and Spanish, knows the 10 commandments, spells his name. He also melted my heart by singing me Happy Birthday... "Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dearest Auntie Megan, Happy Birthday to you." Had I know that was going to come out of his mouth on the phone I would have recorded the conversation. Of course Miss Brooklyn and Miss Lyndsey are the cutest little girls and becoming more active and engaged. It is amazing how much they have grown the last three months. I've always wanted to be like my big sis but I hope that I can be the amazing mom she is when we have kids!! There are also big things going on with Chris' job...more to come later on that. Like I said 2011 is our year!!! Thank you God for blessing us more then we deserve.

Saying Good Bye

The last several weeks have been full of good-byes, some easier to say then others. On December 22nd my Grandma Snider passed away. She was talented, beautiful, loving, kind and giving. She will be so greatly missed. She lived an amazing 90 years.

Then on December 29th we said good-bye to my Grandpa Pittman. He was 91 years old and had survived the dirty 30s and the Great Depression in Oklahoma, as well as being shot and listed dead in WWII. He earned the Purple Heart for his actions during the war. We are at peace knowing he is no longer suffering.

I also excitedly said good-bye to 2010 which was not the best year of my life. It was full of ups and downs, shattered dreams and devesating heartache. I'm looking forward to a new year, new hopes, new dreams and a new attitude.

Finally, I said good-bye to another year of Christmas decorations and traditions. I did not get any of my pictures posted before the end of December like I had planned so here are a few of my favorite things...

I got the idea to make this stocking holder from Poppies at Play. I loved it so much I made one for my sister too.

This is an antique slate chalkboard that I have had for several years and wasn't sure where to hang it because it is pretty big so it has sat in the shed for a long time. I decided to bring it inside and try it again above my cabinets and I l.o.v.e. it! Next to it is a fabric tree my dear friend Jennifer made me a few years ago.

My little Willaraye Kitty and Doggie ornament tree, so cute!

Here is the 9' Christmas tree that tested Chris' patience and humor as it took about 5 moves before it found the perfect place! Oh the joys of a husband in distress. :)

FALLING INTO WINTER

What better way to fall into winter then update my blog with my Halloween and Fall pictures. Sad I know but isn't it still considered Fall because we haven't celebrated Thanksgiving yet?!?! I made these BOO pumpkins which I l.o.v.e. I would like to give credit to the appropriate person that I 'borrowed' this idea from but I have no idea who it is. There are lots of variations of these out there.

I also love the colors in this gourd arrangement.

because she gave birth to Brooklyn Elizabeth and Lyndsey Caroline on Friday. She was truly amazing. Those little girls are very lucky to have her as their momma.

It was a little difficult to get a picture of both of them with their eyes open so here is one of them sleeping at about 5 hours old. They are precious and look just like Trevin did. Oh, I love them and look forward to spoiling them rotten.

Happy Back to School

Is that even possible to have those words in the same sentence?!?! It has been a very chaotic and emotional week and it is only Wednesday. We had a successful first day of school doing our WEB transition program. It went smoothly, the kids had fun and the 8th grade WEB Leaders ROCKED it! They all stepped up and did an amazing job with the 7th graders. They have continued to be positive role models along with going out of their way to help other find their way. I'm looking forward to the 3 day weekend. I'm not sure what we have planned but I think a lot of resting is in order. I know Chris would like to take a road trip so we might head to Joseph, OR for the day. I also need to get stuff ready for my sister's garage sale next week. She has been sorting and cleaning all summer and will now be parting with a boat load of treasures. So if you happen to be in Moses Lake on the 11th stop by and support the cause (two baby girls)!! I would ask you, friends and family, to please pray for Chris and I as this is a very stressful and emotional week. Thanks so much!

I have not posted for a very long time and a dear friend has reminded me of it (Hi Jennifer). I haven't been up to much, I would like to say that my summer to do list is done but it isn't even close. I'm not sure where the time went but it sure went fast. I spent a lot of time in Seattle this summer and continue to do so. I wish I could write that my wish has finally come true but it sadly hasn't. On a brighter note Chris started his new job today. He is in Arkansas for training and then he will be going to Dallas on Wednesday and home late Friday night. This is a new adventure for him that he is very excited about. This is an amazing opportunity but unfortunately he will gone from home more often. I have also been back to work for about a week which has been an adjustment itself. It is hard to get back into the routine of working daily but know that it is a must. Hopefully I will be able to get productive and get some more things crossed off my list. TTFN!

Well it has been a busy summer, I can't believe it is almost the middle of July! It will be back to work before I know it. Chris and I went to The Vintage Barn sale on Saturday where I found a few things I couldn't live without. I got this cute birder feeder from Virginia at The Rusty Bird.

I also found this awesome cubby unit that I plan on hanging above my desk and filling it with jars full of scrapbook embellishments.

I also have some before and after pictures of a few things I have painted and brought into my house.

The bookshelf is now in the laundry room displaying baskets, mason jars, clothspins and towels. I think it looks great there.

Cute little cabinet now in the kitchen. I love the pitcher with sunflowers.

I have also painted some doors and windows that have been living in the garage. It is nice to have those done!

I'm thinking they will look great with a wreath hanging on the doors and a comfy reading chair sitting in front of them.

I painted this window that I have had since college. I thought the cream and green crackle paint was a little dated. It looks great on my large plant shelf in our bedroom. I l.o.v.e that rusty fence that I found several years ago on a farm that a friend owns.

SUMMER TIME

It is officially summer vacation, Yahoo!!! Chris and I spent several days in Seattle for some appointments. I of course didn't bring my camera so there will be no pictures to show. We spent time in downtown Edmonds which is full of awesome stores. I scored two new pieces of furniture at the Bountiful Home.

A cute chippy cabinet. I bought it to put next to our front door, however I'm now thinking it might look good in the kitchen!

A fabulous creamy yellow shelf unit (it was being used as storage for kitty food and outdoor tools and wasn't for sale, however the owner was willing to hear my offer for the piece. Needless to say he took it and we brought this beauty home). It needs a little beating and sanding before making it's way into the house so I will be doing that later this week. I have strict doctor orders to relax and not over do it the next few days so I'm taking advantage of it!

We also enjoyed some fabulous meals at a variety of resturants. After eating an amazing dinner at The Melting Pot we went to pick up our car from the valet. He met us by saying, "we had a minor issue with your car". At first I thought he was joking but hten proceed to say that there was a pipe which sent my mind spinning. He said that the back window blew out but not to worry that they could replace it on Monday. At that point I slightly lost it. Minor, uh no! Monday, uh no, we are heading home Sunday and what about the safety of my car with no flipping window!?!?! The manager showed up and stepped up. We got a new window on Saturday and the remainder of the body work will be taken care of this week here. That was our adventure of the week. Now it is time to start mapping out my summer plans!

I SURVIVED

We have 2 hours left of school, YAHOO!!! I survived the Chewelah Peak trip, ahhhhh, as well as Aloha Day and WEB day. I only have to say good-byes tomorrow and then register 300 kids for the 2010-2011 school year. Luckily, it will be nice a quiet next week so I should be able to get lots of done. Can't wait to be officially on summer vaction.

Big Plans

WOW- I can't believe that we have only 13 days and 2 hours left of the 2009-2010 school year. What is even crazier is that I have about 3 months worth of work to cram into these last weeks. Yikes!! I'm not sure how I'm going to finish all I have to get done but whether I'm ready or not the events will come and go. List of work to dos:

- Chewelah Peak (schedule, shopping, organizing, parent meetings, chaperone meeting, staff meetings, the big trip, etc)

- Finish MSP testing

- Aloha Day

-WEB play day
- register 300 kids for the 2010-2011 school year
AH, that is all I can think of now!

My big summer project, okay I have two. The first is to get my sister organized! She is pregnant with twins so I have to get her and her house ready for two little ones along with a toddler and two teenagers. Yikes, I think that she needs more then organization!! :) I promise to share my 'portfolio' with you. I can't be happier that my sister is my first official client for my dream business.
While not cleaning my sister's house I will be headed back to Seattle for more treatments. So please keep us in your prayers, fingers crossed, etc for us. I have started a journal of our adventures and hope that the last chapter will have a happy ending.

Happy Mother's Day and a few projects

Happy Mother's Day to all the special ladies in my life but especially to my mom who the most amazing woman in the world. I am so thankful for all she has done for me in my life. We had a great brunch with my Mom and Dad, Grandma, Aunt Nettie, Stefanie (sister), Mike and Trevin. Before we left my brother-in-law shared some exciting news.. my sister is pregnant with TWINS!!! Needless, to say it is a bittersweet pill to swallow. However, I politely asked her if I could please just have one of them! We then went to my Grandma and Grandpa's house where I got 22 cups of rhubarb.

I see some pies and muffins in my future. I also scored a great rusty chair from one of their 'stashes'. I was drooling over all the fabulous rusty items. It's temporary home is next to the shed in the back yard but I'm starting to think it might relocate to a different flower bed or I need to add some more greener where it is now.

On the way home we did a little home shopping. We found a couple possibilities. One is in the country 40 years old and on 6 acres with A LOT of out buildings. It is nice and quiet but I see A LOT of work involved with that one. We then went and looked at a brand new development with an awesome house, 4 beds, a huge kitchen, and a bonus room above the garage. It would be great to get the new house on the 5 acres, wishful thinking. It's nice to dream once in awhile. However, 3 houses on our street have sold the last 3 months so that is promising if we decide to sell it. Not sure what our plan is but we are outgrowing our house and if this summer goes well we will be exploding!!

Then I finished my Easter Scribble It blocks.

Any chocolate in that case!

I wish I could say that my to do list is getting shorter, however it seems like one thing gets crossed off and three get added. Oh, such is life. Now it's time for bed because I have a busy week ahead.

I feel some what ready to return to work on Monday. I did enjoy the break and am now looking forward to summer vacation. Only 10 weeks left, Yahoo!! I finished a huge pile of laundry, ran errands and did a few crafts. I'm looking forward to spending Easter with my family in Moses Lake tomorrow. Have a Happy Easter.

I'm finally home after a wonderful trip to South Carolina and Georgia for Spring Break. My mom and I had a fabulous time with Carol, my mother-in-law. We did the 75th Home and Garden tour in Savannah. The homes, furnishings, gardens, and owners were over the top. The history is unbelievable! We spent time in Savannah, Hilton Head, Bluffton, Beaufort, and Sheldon.

We arrived safe and sound in South Carolina last night, my mom and I were looking forward to going to bed after the long day. Today we went to Savannah, GA and did the trolley tour. It is such a beautiful town. Tomorrow we will be doing the Home and Garden Tour in Savannah so I promise to post some pictures In the meantime here is a picture of a man we meet today.

Another Busy

More items off my To Do List!! I made Easter cards and have them ready to mail out this week.

Then I started working on my Scribble It blocks. They have some super cute kits which are easy to do and affordable. I was able to get them all done expect the Thanksgiving one. I bought the wrong paint at Craft Warehouse today and didn't want to go back. It will be waiting for me when I return from South Carolina. Here on the blocks I did finish. I will add some ribbon to each block to fancy them up.

Here is the cleaned out magazine basket. I am starting to save the new magazines I get for the the plane ride on Thursday.

Looking forward this week. My mom and I leave Thursday morning to spend a week with my mother-in-law in South Carolina. I hope the weather is nice, I'm ready for some sunshine.

I had a fun day with extreme green at school, the kids and a few staff went all out! I should have gotten some pictures to post but wasn't that prepared. I was more then disappointed when I realized at 5 pm that I hadn't start the corned beef and cabbage, so we will be having that tomorrow night. Tonight we had Costco pizza, Yummy. I made a little egg tree thanks to Design-Aholic's cute post.

I bought the glitter eggs so it took me no time to put it together. I was so glad to see she had used the moss rocks. I have seen them at Craft Warehouse but couldn't think what to use them for but I do now. :) On to cleaning out my magazine basket.

I know there will be some happy teachers tomorrow morning when they see new magazines in the staff lounge.

Another Productive Day

I'm excited that I have had another productive day. We went to church, Craft Warehouse, Dollar Store, Costco, and Yokes. Once home we tackled the table to get shipped to my mother-in-law. It is wrapped up and in the back of my car to go to the shipping store tomorrow. Didn't think about taking a picture of it prior to wrapping it up. It is an antique wooden folding table with a flower picture on the top. Not sure if that makes sense but either way another item off the to do list! Yahoo!

Next it was on to making another burlap wreath with the extra flowers I had. Here is the tutorial. I think this one will find a new home on my sister's front door.

Finally, I did some birthday cards.

Now it is on to more laundry, ironing, and Desperate Housewives. Have a great week!!

Great Weekend

So far this has been a great weekend and I still have one more day to enjoy! Last night Tricia and I went to the Paperie Arte vendor show and dinner. I had a great time visiting with Tricia and miss hanging out with her at ME. I'm glad we went to the vendor show because I will now know what to expect when Cassandra does another craft weekend. There were some super cute crafts that I think I might have to add to my list. Like I said earlier I have no idea how the list will ever get done, I get two things done and add three! I have finally finished some items off my To Do List.

I woke up this morning ready to get somethings done so I started with making two tie dyed t-shirts for Ronanda and I for Monday. Next week is Spirit Week at school with Monday being Twin Day!! It is so hard to be patient and wait for the final product because you never know how they are going to turn out like. Keep your fingers crossed. Next it was on to St. Patrick's Day cards. They will be in the mail Monday. Next it was onto Valentine's Day pictures. I don't remember who's blog I got the ideas from but Thank you! I will post links if I come across with the originals during my blog ~~stalking~~ watching. (I decided that didn't sound so creepy).

Then to Easter pails for the best niece and nephews. So strange to go through three holidays in one morning.

Finally I made a burlap wreath thanks for the tutorial at the super cute blog of Tatertots and Jello .

Okay, I have been a very bad Auntie. I just realized there is no post of Trevin's 2nd Birthday Party. It amazes me how much he has grown and changed in a year. At his 1st birthday he wanted nothing to do with the cake and wasn't able to open the presents without his mommy's help. This year he was loving the decorations, cake, presents, and attention. Weekend Projects

On Thursday I was feeling pretty inspired, ready to create lots of fabulous things this weekend. Guess what... I accomplished NOTHING!!! Okay not completely true I did buy lots of supplies to be prepared for the projects, spent lots of time at Craft Warehouse, JoAnn's, The Dollar Tree and a variety of antique stores. My car was full of loot and it is now in the office. Goal for the coming week/weekend....

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Chris and I spent a fun weekend at the Davenport in Spokane with our great neighbors, Eric and Dan. I also had a chance to visit with my college friend Paula, it was fun talking about the 'good old days'. Today, I received lots of BIRTHDAY wishes from family and friends. Thanks to my great friends and family for making not only this day but my entire life special! Finally, HAPPY SPRING. My daylilies, tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths are starting to peek up. Today was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine. I'm looking forward to the joys of spring.

A Long Day and a productive day

Well this morning started a little earlier then I wanted to, 3 am to be exactly. Thank goodness I'm going to the allergy specialist tomorrow to figure out why I'm getting these horrible hives along with swollen, burning, itching hands. So rather then laying in bed with unbearable hands I decided to get up and be productive. I had cleaned out the desk files and started to organize my 'drool' book by sections (craft ideas, wall hangings, house plans, bedroom ideas, etc)before Chris even got out of bed. That is a first!!

I then decided to work on a sewing drawer that I bought for $5 this summer at a flea market. It was pretty rough looking. A little paint and distressing and it is going to look great in my bathroom holding odds and ins.

Finally, I conquered the Cricut. I got it as an early Christmas present the day after Thanksgiving and got around to opening before going back to school. However, I couldn't figure out how to get it to load the paper (yes, I hit load paper). So Saturday I asked the Scrapbook chic at Craft Warehouse what I was doing wrong. She said you have to help the machine load the mat by putting a little pressure on it, sure enough it worked great. Here is my first card made by the Cricut! A little thank you to mom and dad.

Excited that I have gotten a few projects completed today. Didn't get to the Valentine's Day cards but hope to sometime this week. I know what layout I will be doing so hope that it will go fast. This will be a busy week even though it is a short week, I have meetings on three of the four nights. Need to enjoy the peace tonight.

Isn't he the cutest!!

Mr. Trevin came today with his momma, daddy, and big sis to see us today. He is so stinkin' cute.

Last night I booked the flight to South Carolina for Spring Break. My mom and I are going to spend the week with Chris' mom and other family. On our list is the 75th Annual Savannah Tour of Homes and Gardens which I'm sure will be amazing. Looking forward to a fun week. Only 68 more days!

Project for Monday is to make my Valentine's Day cards, supplies are bought and sitting on the desk waiting for me.

Blogger actually more of a stalker

I was very excited to be a blogger, my friend and inspiration was Miss Marcie aka confessions of a craft-a-holic. I had high hopes to snap pictures of my crafts and projects and show them to the world. However I have turned into a stalker not a blogger. My problem is I get on my blog to see the lastest updates from the fabulous bloggers I have found. I am amazed by them and then see that they have 'favorite blogs' and I think to myself "if their blog is this wonderful these others must be too". So I go from blog to blog to blog looking at the warm incredible homes to their projects to their finds!! I sit at my computer drooling and dreaming of all the projects and changes I would like to do. Next thing I know I have wasted hours on the computer, no new post, no projects done. What I would do to live closer to some of these unbelievable women because I would no longer be drooling at the pictures but shopping their stores! (maybe it is a good thing I don't live close)! :) Chris and I did take a little trip to Yakima yesterday and I did get some great things. We went to Flutterby's which is a great store in Yakima. We laughed and talked for quite awhile with one of the owners. I think we have a lot in common, laughing about the 'treasures' we find and bring into our homes while our hubbies are rolling their eyes wondering 'why are we bringing scrap wood in as furniture'! Unfortunately they were having a going out of business sale with 50% off everything, their sale had been going on for several days so there weren't many items left some great large pieces but there is no room in our house for more big pieces. I bought a vintage quilt in hopes of making a liner for a vintage market cart I bought at a sale this summer to make it into a laundry hamper. Good news they are going to be doing some shows like Clayson Farms and their own barn show, Yahoo!!! I also found a new Lori C Mitchell figurine at Garden Girls (super cute garden store with great decor items). Got to love the red pigtails!!

I enjoyed my three day weekend! Spent Friday at the doctor's office with my allergy problem where she readjusted my medication and said to stay away from fish and wine until I see the specialist on the 19th. After two full outbreaks and the residual affects of them for a week I figured that one out on my own! She did tell me it can take 10-14 days for your body to rid itself of the allergen. Today is day 12 and the first day with no burning, itching, spotty skin. Well it is now 8:15 and my to do list is the same as it was on Friday full!! I have a busy week ahead of two days at the elementary schools doing health presentation and one day at court for a truancy hearing. I am looking forward to having lunch with my girls at Mesa!! Welcome 2010

Well I'm slowly returning to the work groove after enjoying two weeks off for Christmas vacation. Chris and I had a great time in South Carolina with his family. We took a two day trip to Charleston which is a beautiful town rich in history. This is the Angel Oak tree which is over 1400 years old, this is just a small picture of the enormous tree.

Here is some spanish moss which hangs down on the oak trees, it is all I can do not to snatch it up and bring it home. However, I don't think I would like the chiggers that often comes with it, ouch!
Lastly my favorite girl in the snow with her tennis ball (like always).

I look forward to seeing what 2010 has in store for Chris and I. I hope and pray that it is a year full of joy and happiness after and long and trying 2009. Blessings.

Leaving for South Carolina

We leave tomorrow after work for South Carolina!! I'm trying to get all things wrapped up before leaving. All Chrismas presents are done and delivered. Packing almost done, just last minute bathroom items to put in the morning. Notes for housesitter on counter and laundry-just a few loads left. So glad that I have a week to be home before heading back to work. I have enjoyed the two 2-hour delays and 1 snow day it provided me some extra time to get things done. Merry Christmas to all!!

Well as my friends and family know I am not a morning person, however while looking through the ads today I was more then once tempted to set my alarm clock EARLY for the morning. After coming home for Thanksgiving in Moses Lake I decide to check out Target.com. Lucky me I ordered the items online for the same price that I would have gotten tomorrow morning at 5 am. YAHOO.

I will not be the winner of the daughter-in-law of the year award. :( However, hopefully when my package arrives in South Carolina I will earn a few brownie points. I sent a Happy Belated Everything box to Carol today with gifts for the following holidays - Mother's Day, Birthday, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. Only 1 and 1/2 days left of school before a nice break to celebrate Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to spending time with my family and shopping on Friday with my sister and mom.

I spent Saturday making meals at Dream Dinners. Chris and I went to the Connell football game and then I came home and made Thanksgiving cards. I sanded a few pieces of furniture today and am undecided whether I like them or not. My camera is not working or I would share pictures. Looking forward to a short work week and spending time with my family on Thanksgiving. Hoping to find some good deals on Friday, maybe a camera!
